Teen That Is Accused In Fatal Car Wreck Over 3 Times Legal Alcohol Limit

CORPUS CHRISTI – The blood test results are in for the teenage boy accused of causing a deadly crash on SPID.
According to Corpus Christi police, 18-year-old Clayton Johnson had a blood alcohol level of 0.22, which is almost three times the legal limit.
Police received Johnson’s results from the DPS lab Monday afternoon.
Investigators said Johnson was weaving in and out of traffic on SPID near Airline when he rear-ended a sports utility vehicle, causing it to flip.
The driver, 20-year-old Cris Isaac, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the hospital.
His passenger, 20-year-old Seth Waid was also injured. He remains in serious condition at Spohn Memorial’s Intensive Care Unit.
Meanwhile, Johnson is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter.
